Parthasarathy Sharma former India Test cricketer from Rajasthan passed away today after few months cancer. He was the right-hand middle-order batsman. He was admitted in ICU and after his condition got worsen and he died. He left his wife and son behind. Parthasarthy Sharma played only five Tests cricket matches for India, he played his first Test match against West Indies at New Delhi in 1974-75.

He opened with Sunil Gavaskar in the first Test at Bridgetown but couldn't score more than 6 runs. He scored 4, 29, 9 and 20 in two Tests at home against England in year 1976-77. His well performances for Rajasthan in the Ranji Trophy and Duleep Trophy made him selected to play for Indian Team.

The previous cricketer and chairman of the senior selection committee Kishan Rungta told that Partha was finest batsmen Rajasthan has ever formed.
