Racers collapses in Triathlon, situation critical

Race Officials said that a thirty one old man from Lodon was in critical condition on Sunday after collapsing near the finish line in the New York City Triathlon. Bill Burke, Race Director said that eleven other people were hospitalized and none was believed to be seriously injured.He said that twelve hospitalizations were less than anticipated and given the sweltering weather. According to the National Weather Service, in the central park the temperature reached 90 degrees. Triathlon consists of 1.5kms swim, fourty kms of bike ride and ten kms of running. The thirty one year old man in critical condition collapsed in the area of East 72 Street on the edge of the Central Park before the finish line. Burke said that the man was rushed to the hospital where he was admitted in the critical condition.

While in the warmest running of the NYC Triathlon, Rebeccah Wassner successfully defended her title in the women’s division. She finished in the 2:01:30.

Police registered case on 32 persons on damaging public property: Fatehabad

On damaging public property, the police of Fatehabad has registered a case on thirty two identified persons which includes twenty women and two hundred unidentified persons. They create impediment in performing police on duty and pelting stone on the government officials under the section 353, 307, 148, 186, 149, 323 of IPC. Villagers from Kharian, Chuge Ahli, Muse Ahli, Banwali, Dhani Dhaka and Noorki Ahli, whose agricultural lands have been flooded for the past four days, dug a portion of the Fatehabad-Nagpur road in the morning to allow passage to the divert. The villagers from Dhani Chhatteria located on the other side of the road and raised objection to their action.
The situation went serious and stone pelting from both sides of the roads.
PS Gilakhera, CPS with the officials of administrative, reached on the spot to solve the matter but the villagers had a heated exchange with him also who had to return empty handed and after this police was called in.
After this SDM reached there with the additional force to plug the breach. Twenty persons were injured including Jai Kishan Abhir, SDM in the clashed of villagers. JS Lamba, SP and OP Sheran, DC reached the spot and took stock of the situation.
