The movie is directed by Goldie Behl, a very close friend of Abhishek Bachchan. Now, Goldie Behl has decided to a sequel of Drona. He is determined to make the sequel whether or not Drona becomes successful at the box office. Behl said:
The director said that all is now depending on his production house, Rose Movies, Eros Entertainment and Abhishek Bachchan. Behl said that after the release of Drona, he will immediately start working for the sequel and Abhishek Bachchan will play the male lead. However, he has not decided about other characters. He and Abhishek Bachchan will decide about other actors depending on the script.Regarding Aishwarya Rai Bachchan working in the sequel, Goldie Behl said that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is his "Bhabi."
