The promotional event of Bachna Ae Haseeno took place at Mumbai on Friday. All the actors and actresses of the movie were present in the event. Deepika Padukone, whose debut movie, Om Shanti Om was the most successful movie of last year, played a major role in the movie. She was very happy that in her second project, she got the opportunity to work with the Yash Raj Films, one of the largest production houses in India . She said that she had been extremely lucky in her career for working with the Yash Raj banner. They treated her like a family and it was a wonderful experience and she was looking forward to more projects with them. Ranbir Kapoor, the male lead of the movie was in all praise for director Siddharth Anand.

Bachna Ae Haseeno is a love story between one guy and three different girls. Ranbir Kapoor who played the character Raj in the movie meets three different types of girls: Radhika (Bipasha Basu), Mahi (Minissha Lamba) and Gayatri (Deepika Padukone). Each of the girls are unique and they teach Raj about love and relationship.

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (SEO: 005930), worlds leading electronics company, announced its recent venture into the mobile internet industry of Russia on September 2, 2008. In 2007, the company signed a deal with Russian mobile carrier, Scartel Ltd. under which, Samsung provided the company necessary technologies for WiMAX service. Currently, Scartel is doing a trial run of their new WiMAX service in Moscow and St. Petersburg. The two companies are going to set up 1600 access points in the city areas by 2009 and start the commercial service. Choi Ji-sung, Head, Samsung telecommunications division, said,

“We plan to fully cooperate (with Scartel) for WiMAX to make a successful launch in Russia by using our know-how obtained from experiences in the U.S., Japan and the Middle East,”

Aside from Russia, Samsung Electronics is also working to promote WiBro, a high speed wireless internet service developed by South Korea, in USA and Japan. The company signed a deal with America based Sprint Nextel Corporation (NYSE:S), Motorola, Inc. (NYSE:MOT), and Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC). Samsung is going to work on promoting WiBro in USA with these three companies. In Japan, Samsung signed up with UQ Communications Inc. to set up necessary infrastructure to allow commercial WiBro services in Japan from 2009.

The first test between Sri Lanka and India completed today with Sri Lanka securing an excellent victory over the touring side. The host team defeated India by an innings and 239 runs and is leading 1-0 in the three-match test series. It was one of the worst performances India showed in their test history. Sri Lanka, on the other hand, has plenty of things to cheer with in this test match. With two spinners appearing in their prime form, Sri Lanka seems to be invincible at this stage. Their less experienced batting line up also played a big part behind their enthralling victory over India.

Here, I am giving some information regarding the first test of the three-match test series:

1. Sri Lankan Captain Mahela Jayawardene won the toss and elected to bat first on the rain-delayed opening day of the first test.
2. Sri Lanka vs India first test match was held at Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC), Colombo. Sri Lanka declared their first innings after reaching at 600 losing 6 wickets, while India collapsed in both innings amassing 223 and 138 runs in the first and second innings respectively.
3. Winning by an innings and 239 runs in the first test of the three-test series, Sri Lanka projected their third-biggest test victory. Their biggest ever test match victory came four years back in 2004 when visiting Sri Lanka defeated Zimbabwe by an innings & 254 runs.
4. Interestingly, it has been the third-heaviest test match defeat for India. India suffered their worst defeat in test cricket in 1958 when visiting West Indies thrashed India by an innings & 336 runs.
5. This is not the first time India suffered an innings defeat to Sri Lanka. In fact, India was beaten in similar fashion by an innings and 77 runs in their 2001 tour to Sri Lanka. That defeat also came at Sinhalese Sports Club, Colombo.
6. It was the debut test match for Sri Lanka's surprise Spinner Ajantha Mendis.
7. Mendis made a record in his debut match thanks to his bowling figure of 8 for 132, best for any debutant player from Sri Lanka in test cricket.
8. Indian batting line up in the presence of Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid seems to be one of the most experienced in the world. In fact, each of the three batsmen has more than 100 tests cap under their belt.
9. Sri Lanka, on the other hand, has an experienced bowling attack in the presence of pacer Chaminda Vaas and spinner Muttiah Muralitharan, each of them played more than 100 test matches in their illustrious career. Moreover, they have more than 1000 test wickets between them.
10. Anil Kumble with 608 wickets in 128 matches becomes the most experienced bowlers of current Indian squad, but the spinner remained wicket less in the match.
11. India played only 117.5 overs over their two innings in which Sri Lankan pacers Chaminda Vaas and Nuwan Kulasekara bowled only 30 overs. From this fact, it is clear that Sri Lankan Captain Mahela Jayawardene largely depended on his spin brigades.
12. Muttiah Muralitharan was elected man of the match for picking up 11 wickets in two innings.
13. This was Muralitharan's 21^st ten-wicket haul in test cricket and second ten-wicket haul against India. This was his fourth ten-wicket haul at SSC ground.
14. Muttiah Muralitharan took the wicket of Sachin Tendulkar in both innings of this test. Including these two, Muralitharan made Sachin out on 7 occasions so far, becoming the most successful bowler against Sachin Tendulkar in test cricket.
15. With this man of the match award, Muralitharan has taken his man-of-the-match tally in test cricket to 19, one short of Jacques Kallis's highest 20 man of the match awards.
16. For the first time, players got the chance to appeal against the decision of an on-field umpire in this test. ICC introduced the review system in this test by which each team can make three unsuccessful review calls during the match.
17. Tillakaratne Dilshan has become the first player who has successfully made a review call against the decision of an on-field umpire during his unbeaten 125-run knock in the match.
18. Virender Sehwag has become the first batsman to have been dismissed under review system, after on-field umpire Mark Benson had initially declared him not out.
19. Later on, Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid were also given out under review system in the second innings of Indian team.
20. After playing a brilliant knock of 136 at SSC, Sri Lankan captain Mahela Jayawardene equaled Sir Don Bradman's world record of 9 centuries at one ground. Bradman scored 9 centuries at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). So, one more century at SSC for Jayawardene would see him surpassing Bradman to make the world record of his own in test cricket.
21. India is known as specialist against spin bowling but, this time Muralitharan and Mendis destroyed Indian batting line up, taking 19 wickets between them. In fact, this is the third time India lost 19 out of 20 wickets to the spinners in a test match.
22. Four Sri Lankan batsmen scored century in their only innings, helping Sri Lanka to reach at 600 runs.
23. In contrast to Sri Lankan batsmen, India's experienced batting line up collapsed in both innings and only VVS Laxman could score a half century for India in the match.
24. India faced only 707 balls in their two innings. It is one of the lowest numbers of balls India faced in their 135 test defeats.
25. After seeing the excellent performance by Mendis, Muttiah Muralitharan has admitted that he was not as good when he debuted as Mendis has been in this test. Moreover, Muralitharan also thinks that, Mendis can take a large part of pressure away from Muralitharan- thus extending the test career of Muralitharan.
