World 2nd largest PC maker Dell's tablet PC called Dell Streak arrives soon. Dell Streak is all set to hit the retail stores of tablet market in rival to iPad, where Apple launched its tablet device iPad. Dell Streak vs Apple iPad Specifications & Features:

Dell Streak is having a 5-inch (12.5-centimeter) WVGA screen
Dell Streak features a multi-touch display
Apple iPad which has a 9.7-inch (24.6-centimeter) diagonal LED-backlit glossy widescreen multi-touch display.

Camera:
The Dell Streak Tablet will come has a high-resolution 5 megapixel autofocus camera with front-facing camera which can be used for video chatting. It also has a dual LED flash.

Connectivity:
Streak offers built in Wi-Fi, optional 3G and Bluetooth for connectivity. It will also support Google Maps integrated with a turn-by-turn navigation, street and satellite views. Streak also has integrated social media apps including Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.

Flash:
Dell Streak can run Adobe’s popular Flash software and will support Flash 10.1 later this year.

Dell Streak Price:
Android-based Streak will have access to thousands of apps, games, widgets and other tools available on the Android platform.

Dell Streak Price, Dell has not announced yet. However, it is speculated that the device will be less than the iPad. Currently, iPad sells for $499, $599 and $699 for the 16GB, 32GB and 64GB Wi-Fi versions.

Android OS:
Streak is powered by Google Inc’s Android operating system. According to Dell, Streak will launch with Android 1.6. The Tablet is expected to get the latest Android 2.2 update.The tablet will run on 1GHz Snapdragon ARM-based mobile processor from Qualcomm.

Memory:
Streak comes with 2GB of internal storage. But the memory can be expanded upto 32GB via MicroSD card. According to Dell, the extended capacity can support upto 42 movies, 32,000 photos, or 16,000 songs.

CWG Report that OC Chairman Suresh Kalmadi will not be removed now but a decision will be taken later as new allegations of corruption raised against the CWG OC chairman Suresh Kalmadi. However, the government has appointed Cabinet Secretary K M Chandrashekhar to co-ordinate the CWG preparations. The Congress is reportedly unwilling to act against Kalmadi till alleged fresh allegations that have been levelled against him, are proven and the Games are over.

In a recent CWG report submitted by the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) to the sports ministry cites over a dozen cases including one where the games Organizing Committee suffered a loss of over 240 million rupees ($5 million) in awarding broadcasting rights. The report says the rights were awarded at the behest of Mike Fennell, the head of the Commonwealth Games Federation, chief executive Mike Hooper and Suresh Kalmadi, the top Indian organizer.

On Thursday, August 12th, 2010 BJP’s deputy leader in Lok Sabha Gopinath Munde demanded Kalmadi’s resignation citing the strictures passed by Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) and T S Darbari’s statement that the OC chairman was involved in all the controversial decisions. CPM’s Sitaram Yechury said the government should sack Kalmadi “if it had any shame”. It will be a tough call to take, and opinion is sharply split on the matter. A strong school in the government is in agreement with Gill that the OC should continue to run the show and government should not get identified with the controversy-ridden and, perhaps, a failing enterprise.

Kalmadi has handled the preparations almost as his personal show, causing resentment in government circles. But now that preparations have been exposed as shoddy and corruption-ridden, many see the arrangement as buffering the government against the torrent of adverse publicity.

The Congress again distanced itself from Kalmadi in light of fresh revelations of wasteful expenditure by the OC. Natarajan shoved aside questions based on Kalmadi being a Congress MP. “He is in the OC in his role as the chief of Indian Olympic Association,” she contended.

But the Opposition was already trying to erase the distinction. On Thursday, Munde said all the “misdeeds were done under the nose of the PM and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi”. Significantly, the BJP also claimed Kalmadi having said that he had the backing of Congress leadership.

So, we get to savour this delightful scene where the caretakers of the Indian state try to prevent Natha’s suicide by gifting him a `Lal Bahadur’ (read hand pump) without providing for the requisite funds for its fitting. Needless to say, the hand pump lies unused in the destitute farmer’s courtyard and doubles up mostly as a plaything for the village urchins. Then again, there’s a local politician who tries to gain mileage by gifting him a colour TV, quite like Marie Antoinette’s famous blooper: ‘If they don’t have food, give them cakes!’ And finally, there are the state officials who go through their entire gamut of garibi-hatao schemes, only to realise there is nothing tailor-made to prevent a farmer from committing suicide.

But by and large, Peepli Live is a lively and living document which shows on the `other’ India, that lives beyond the neon lights and the metros. Aamir Khan’s Peepli Live film made auidience without being boring and didactic.
