Amarnathji shrine board has also provided the facility of helicopter booking to Amarnat temple for AmarnathYatra. This year AmarnatYatra will begin on July 1, end Aug 24, 2010. The registration counters will remain open from 3 PM to 6 PM on all working week days and 1 PM to 4 PM on all working Saturdays. AmarnathYatra Chopper services for the yatris who wish to avail of such facilities would be available on each of the two routes viz. Baltal – Panjtarni – Baltal and Pahalgam – Panjtarni- Pahalgam. The one way for Baltal- Panjtarni and Pahalgam-Panjtarni has been fixed at Rs. 2425/- and Rs. 3800/-, respectively.

Children between 2-12 years, will be required to pay half the prices. The book or reservation of helicopter seats would commence shortly by Travel Agents operating in Jammu and Kashmir, divisions.

Scheduling an Interview Appointment for US visa purpose:

All US Visa applicant in India is now being served by VFS (www.vfs-usa.co.in) . A prior appointment is must to appear for the interview.

VFS offers both online as well as offline appointment scheduling facility.

As per the new process, it is now must to pay the fee before you make your appointment. Fee may only be paid at a designated branch of HDFC Bank. Check more details about Visa Fee.

Note:
1. Indian citizens resident in the USA and applying for a visa( restamping for H1, H4, L1, L2 , F1,F2 etc) to replace an expiring visa can request an appointment at any of the four US consulates in India.

2. Applicants should use the same passport to purchase their receipt ( Or pay fee) as they will use at the time of interview.
If your passport expires within the next 6 – 12 months It is advised to obtain a new passport prior to purchasing a receipt for a visa interview.
