Student should know that government college Ajmer is the premier higher education institute of India. Famous nationally and internationally as its nick name 'gca' is 170 years old institution of India. At present 7428 students are enrolled and has long chain of students enrolled since 170 years of its history.

Courses available:

All the three faculty arts, science and commerce have students studying for their carrier development. Law faculty has been given the status of separate college only from this session. In arts there are 14 subjects for graduate courses along with honours in 4 subjects. At post graduate level there are 11 subjects along with research facilities and in four subjects M.phil course is available. In science graduate and post graduate courses are available in 5 subjects. Honours course is available in chemistry. In all the five subjects m.phil courses are also available. In commerce graduate and post graduate courses are available in three subjects. Research facility is available in all these three subjects. In accountancy and business statistics honours course is available. In economic administration and financial management M.phil course is running.

Lata Mangeshkar putted her feet in this world in September 28, 1929 in a Maharashtrian family in Sikh Mohalla, Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Her childhood name was "Hema" and her father called her "Hridaya".

She will be remembered for generations to come. Lata ji Started her career at the age of 13 she has come a long way, received dozens of awards and holding the Guinness record for having made the most recordings in the world from 1974 to 1991 that’s more than 35,000.

Lataji & Satyajit Ray are the only two people who have received both the Bharat Ratna & the Dada Saheb Phalke Award.

Apart from music Lata ji likes Photography, perfumes and diamonds. Her affection for perfumes has prompted the launch of Lata perfume.

Asha Bhosle Our Asha Tai

Asha Bhosle was born in September 8, 1933 in the small hamlet of Goar in Sangli, Maharashtra. She Started her career in 1943 and has crossed over six decades in the Industry.

Asha Tai second name could well be Versatility. No type of song has been beyond her vocal range be it a club dance, sad song, bhajan, ghazal, pop etc., and is still going strong. No one can match her when it comes to variety. A living legend who remains still a heart throb of every generation.

Asha Bhosle has won seven Filmfare Best Female Playback Awards. She won her first two awards in 1967 and 1968.She was later given a Special Award for Rangeela in 1996, and the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 2001. The biggest feather in Asha’s already crowded cap has been the Dada Saheb Phalke Award for her contribution to Indian Cinema.
