Taiwanese singer and actor Jay Chou, who is in Singapore to promote his first Hollywood movie 'The Green Hornet', confessed that, he struggles to speak in English. Jay, when given a line to speak on camera, had to rehearse and took three retakes for the single line.

‘HI, I’M Jay Chou, watch me kick some ass on RazorTV.’ This was the line which was no less than a challenge for Jay, put up Razor TV for an interview. This was the first movie for Jay, where he had to deliver his dialogues in English. Then how did the star manage a whole Hollywood movie, with all the dialogues in the scenes?

‘Actually most of my lines in the movie are harder than this, so I don’t find this particularly daunting,’ Chou said. According to sources, the singer could hardly speak a word of English before the film. Jay for a month practiced his lines.

Director Michel Gondry also appreciated Jay's efforts to learn the language.

Popular Chinese television actress Yao Chen, after separating from her husband, has gained popularity more than the US talk show diva Oprah Winfrey. On Friday, the actress became the first micro blogger to have more than 5 million followers.

The television actress is the most followed person on the Chinese micro blogging site cina.com.sn. The Chinese portal claims to have more than 50 million users.

After the number of the actress's followers crossed 5 million, cina.com issued a statement christening her with the name 'queen of micro blogging'. According to twitter, Oprah Winfrey has 4,953,941 followers as on Friday.

After the number of fans crossed 5 million, just three hours later 10,000 more fans were added to the list. Yao divorced her husband after seven years of marriage. They announced their separation on cina.com in a statement. According to the statement, the two met at the Beijing Film Academy and the marriage will always remain as a cherished memory for the couple.

Lisa Ang husband Ivan Rantung claims S$1 million

A former news channel presenter, Lisa Ang's husband Ivan Rantung, won the Changi Airport Group's 'Be a Changi Millionare's' Grand prize of S$ 1 million on Friday. Rantung was a former deejay.

Rantung was among the five other finalist of the luck draw and picked the right key to claim the grand prize. “I’m very excited! I’m lost for words. I thought it was a dream… But it’s not a dream with all the guys in the audience out there. My dream has come true!” Rantung said.

Rantung, who is also a father of two children, promised to spend the money carefully. His entry in the lucky draw was among 830,000 other entries received.

The winner also added that, he will keep some money in the fixed deposits. Instead on luxuries, he aims to clear off debts first and the rest will be spent on family holidays and children's education. He is also happy that he does not have to here after, worry about running out of cash.
