A person has to go and watch the movie Dhobi Ghat, to know the reason why the movie is just one and half hours long. The story is complex and may be difficult to be understood by a lay man.

The movie has many narrations and unexpected moments. The story is exclusively about the city Mumbai and four extremely different characters in the movie who try to cope with the fast pace of the city.

Though being complex the actors in the movie Prateik Babbar, Monica Dogra and Kriti Malhotra have done justice to their roles. Amir Khan a painter in the movie too has contributed his best as usual.

Director Kiran Rao has dragged the movie in a slow pace giving the audience the opportunity to understand the characters. Cinematographer Tushar Kanti Ray has been appreciated for his work while Gustavo Santaolalla has given the background score for the movie which just fits in the culture of Mumbai.

Celina has received major injuries on her legs and may take a year or two to completely heal. The singer was gifted with a brass Buddha by her future father-in law to protect her and heal her quickly. Both the father and the son Chang Shi Liang and Richard Chang took care of Celine while she was hospitalized. The two had also regularly visited the singer when she was in hospital.

Thousands of devotees participated in the procession to mark the festival of Thaipusam in Singapore on Wednesday. The four km procession started at midnight to celebrate the festival.

Some rumours of tightening of guidelines to celebrate the festival were put to rest. “This year there was a little discussion as to whether the rules have been changed or they have been tightened, which is all untrue. In fact there has been absolutely no change in the rules, except that they have been relaxed,” K Shanmugam, Law and Home Affairs Minister said.

The devotees in the procession completed their vows with tight security and measures taken by the officers deployed to protect the procession. The festival is marked by carrying pots of milk and kavadis, dedicated to the Hindu God Murugan.

Sources had said that, the number of devotees carrying spiked kavadis in the procession were comparatively less in this year's procession. This year devotees of other communities had also reportedly participated in the procession.
