Dhobi Ghat is a directorial debut of Kiran Rao who was married to Amir Khan. Dhobi Ghat is going to release on 21st Jan, 2011 in India and abroad.

Prateik Babbar, Kirti Malhotra and Monica Dogra are sharing the silver screen with the famous actor Amir Kahn in this movie.

Amir is playing a painter role in this movie while Prateik has been a washer man (dhobi). This film has earned critical acclaim at Toronto Film Festival 2010 and London Film Festival 2010.

The movie is mainly focused over the Mumbai. The movie has no interval and runs continuously to finish its one and half hour length.

The movie depicts the life among the washers in Mumbai's Dhobi ghat. Four individuals will lead the movie. It is a debut film for singer Monica Dogra and Kirti Malhotra.

However, the sexy Bollywood actress has strongly denied the news, saying she don't have Yana Gupta syndrome.

Her publicist gave statement in this context as Neetu Chandra is a girl with high dignity and she can't go like this for just a publicity gimmick.

The publicist also said that the actress doesn't need such cheap publicity to stay in news. The actress was planning legal action against the website, but the matter sorted out after written apology.

A well know plastic surgeon was sued by a 17 year old girl who had been to his clinic last year. The teenager has claimed that the surgeon has taken her photographs without underwear.

Last year in the month of November, the girl, whose identity is concealed, had visited Dr. Martin Huang's clinic on Orchard Road, to get a scar removed from her upper left thigh. According to the teenager's claim, the doctor told her that, photographs have to be taken without her underwear.

The 17 year old girl has sued Huang and the clinic for personal trauma and emotional distress. The victim is also seeking damages from the High Court, and has alleged lack of informed consent, negligence and assault, with the help of her mother Madam Chao Yung Tien.

The director of the Specialist Surgery and Laser Centre, Dr. Huang and the clinic are the defendants of the case and are answerable to the court for the teenager's claims.

Daughter of a renowned Taiwanese actor Chiu Yong Qin, Chiu Yee Fong was on Tuesday detained for steeling $110,400 worth casino chips. Chiu Yee worked as an attendant on the gaming table at Resorts World Sentosa casino.

The 30 year old was caught when she changed the chips to cash, delegated to her for her own use between 28th September and 7th November. Yee Fong gradually collected chips over the month, while she worked in the casino.

According to reports, the attendant had picked the chips for some 144 times. The croupier has been detained for 21 months. Chiu in the court said, that her parents would compensate on her behalf.

However the case was postponed for seven days to appoint a deputy prosecutor. Chiu's father defended her daughter by saying that, she had some adjustments problems when she shifted to Singapore. As she couldn't pay the fine Chiu will be spending an additional month in jail.

Seems like pop star Celina, the singing sensation of Taiwan's popular girl's band S.H.E, has got a trustworthy partner for life. On Wednesday, Celina's father Jen Ming-Ting said that, her fiancé Chang Cheng Chung will be marrying Celina in spite of her severe burn injuries.

Celina had received burn injuries during an explosion while shooting for a TV show. After the incident, Jen told Cheng that, it was ok if he cancels the wedding. Chang, an advocate by profession had plans to marry Celina in April 2011.

Chang being faithful partner refused to cancel the wedding and visited the singer every day after the incident. Celina was going through treatment in a hospital near Taipei for 88 days.

After her discharge from hospital, the singer had to go through rehabilitation to heal her wounds and scars. Jen said that, the only reason he was worried about if she would be able to give birth in future. But to his relief the doctors told him that she is perfectly fine and has only received severe injuries on her legs.
