Posted: 22 Sep 2010 07:10 AM PDT

Common Wealth Games (CWG) is in the news for all the wrong reason. Part of false ceiling collapsed, foot overbridge at the stadium came crashing down, and complaints of the unhygienic conditions in the Games village hit the headlines.

Constructions are not up to the standards, recent firing at the Jama Masjid has also raised the security questions specially by the Foreign tourists and players.

We bring to you the tweets from the Bollywood camps on CWG.

While actress Shilpa Shetty feels this was a great opportunity to make our country proud but unfortunately CWG has not brought us the pride and honor we though it would.

Actor Arjun Rampal, tweeted, Rs. 70,000 crore spent on CWG, Sensex shoots past 20K but poverty line in India stays constant. Is this a democracy or just plain Hypocrisy?

The realistic film maker madhur bhandarkar tweeted that “I think a dark comedy film title GAMES is being played in CWG where bridge is collapsing, ceiling coming down."

Not only from the Bollywood camp CWG is on fire from all the corners.

High Court Issue Guidelines To Media In Ayodhya Verdict

Posted: 22 Sep 2010 06:50 AM PDT

The Lucknow Bench of Allahbad High Court will issue the verdict on long-pending Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi dispute on September, 24 on Friday.

The High Court has issued guidelines for media, that bars them form entering into the court room. The media personnel's are asked to keep citing space problem as there will be large number of people.

However, necessary arrangements will be done to see that the copies of the verdict are made available to the media house immediately after the court had issued the judgement.

The bench comprising Chief Justice Justice Pradeep Kant and F.I. Rebello, believe that it was not fair in a democratic country to bar the media from disseminating the news relating to the judgment.

But they escalated  the need for media to observe utmost restraint in disseminating correct information, the information given by the media should be free form any personal bias or prejudice.

The Babri Masjid – Ramjanmabhomi issue is critical in nature hence it is the responsibility of the media to stick to the guideline provided by the court and should not give information which can result in community clash.

The news, which media will telecast should be the verbatim judgement given by the court and nothing personal should be added to it.
