The USA has hiked visa fee from its earlier uniform fee of $131. The US consulate has introduced a two-tier structure for non-immigrant visas with effect from June 4, 2010.

The categories in two tier structure are:

US Visa White receipt

Fee – $140

• Business or tourism (B-1/B-2)
• Crew member (C-1/D)
• Student (F or M)
• Exchange (J)

US Visa Green receipt

Fee – $150

This category includes Petition-based applications

• Work visa applicants (H, L, O, P, Q and R categories)

IIT JEE 2010 results are to be declared on May 26, 2010. The IIT JEE Results 2010 for IIT JEE exam conducted by Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) are much awaited since the exam on April 11, 2010. IIT 2010 results will decide the fate of 4.7 lakh candidates appeared in JEE-2010.

Next steps for IIT JEE qualified candidates

On-line filling of choices open for ALL the qualified candidates will be available from May 27 to June 09, 2010 i.e. Thursday to Wednesday.

Medical examination and counselling for qualified PD candidates (the schedule will be announced on the IIT websites) will be from June 09 to 11, 2010.Course allocations to the successful candidates will be declared on Wednesday, the 28th June, 2010.
