After giving hit albums like Race, Jannat, Kismat Konnection, Singh Is Kinng, music director Pritam comes back with Kidnap Hindi movie. Kidnap Hindi movie is not a masala flick. It is more of a plot driven movie just like A Wednesday. In A Wednesday, the focus remains on Naseeruddin Shah, what is his motive? Is he a terrorist or someone seeking revenge? In the same way, Kidnap Hindi movie mainly focuses on Imran Khan and Sanjay Dutt. What connects these two? What does the kidnapper want? Unlike typical masala flicks, where songs are given here and there, Kidnap Hindi movie comes with a collection of situational songs. The music album contains five original songs and two remix songs. Aside from Pritam, the music album introduces two new musicians: Sanjeev Vyas and Sandeep Vyas.

Picturised on Imran Khan who plays the kidnapper in the movie, 'Mit Jaaye' can be referred as the title track of the movie. The song has been shown in the promo for the last three weeks. Upon listening, I felt that I am listening to a remix version of any song but that's the way it is. It takes you by surprise. So far, this is the best song of the album. It is "the one song" that stands out from the rest. This song definitely fits the character of the kidnapper, Kabir. The loud quick paced, electrifying music just flares up the feel of excitement and thrill like you are running after something and time is against you.

Mit Jaaye (Rock version):

I liked the original version and the rock version as well. Honestly, the rock version sounds better to me. In the beginning, you will hear Spanish guitar followed by the voice of Sandeep Vyas. It feels like a haunted voice of a person coming from a long distance. The tempo gradually rises, reaches the climax and then breaks into a loud rock song.

Hey Ya:

Singer: Suzy Q

'Hey Ya' is the opposite side of the coin, if compared with 'Mit Jaaye.' This song will instantly remind you Pritam's 'Touch me Touch me' score of Race. Picturised on Minissha Lamba, the song describes a free spirited girl who is fun loving and enjoys life to its full. She does not listen to anyone and does what her heart tells her to do. In the movie, Minissha Lamba's character, 'Sonia,' is the same. Sonia is a seventeen year old girl; rebellious by nature. Suzy Q, who recently sang the hit track, 'Ji Karda' in Singh is Kinng, suits the voice of a teenager. Interestingly, this song is more enjoyable with visuals because Minissha Lamba showcases her glamourous side in the song. She looks great wearing revealing western dresses.

Hey Ya (House Mix):

I like the remix version compared to the original one. It just pushes up the energy level few notches. This is an ideal track for dance club.

Mausam:

Lyrics: Mayur Puri

Singer: Shreya Ghoshal

Mausam is a seduction song. Shreya Ghoshal's soft voice is the ideal choice to ooze up the feeling of the song. The song comes with Pritam's trade mark music. Nothing extra ordinary but worth the praise.

Haan Ji:

Singer: Adnan Sami

This song is picturised on Vidya Malvade and Sanjay Dutt. In Kidnap Hindi movie, Vidya Malvade plays the character of Sanjay Dutt's divorced wife, Mallika, Sonia's (Minissha Lamba) mother. This is another fun song like 'Phatte' of U, Me, Aur Hum. This song can be called a gap filler. It is just another average song.

Meri Ek Ada Shola:

Singers: Sunidhi Chauhan, Sukhwinder Singh, Akruti Kakkar

Well, you can call it the item song of the movie. Remember

'Aisa Jadoo' from Khakee? 'Aisa Jadoo' was the last song of the movie after which the climax follows. This song is similar type. The music of 'Meri Ek Ada' consists of Middle-Eastern melodies. The song can be divided in two portions. In the first half, it is just an item song; a girl singing and moving around. In the second half, Sukhwinder Singh comes in and the song takes a different turn. From a sensuous item song, it turns into a tragedy song that tells a story of revenge.

Overall, Kidnap Hindi movie is an average album. Except Mit Jaaye (original and remix version) and Hey Ya (original and remix), the other songs are not so good.

The movie revolves around the adventures of Quick Gun Murugun and his fight with his arch villain Rice Plate Reddy!

Today at 6.30 AM, a plane crash at Mangalore Airport killed 160 people. An Air India Express Plane (Boeing 737-800, budget flight 1X-812) from Dubai has crashed into the forest near the airport, on the runway at the landing time. Around 163 passengers and 9 crew members were there in the plane.

Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh expressed sympathy at the loss of lives due to Air India crash and said that the families of the deceased will receive Rs. 2 lakhs and the injuries will receive Rs. 50,000 from the National Relief Fund of the Prime Minister. He also said that the probable support will be provided to the families who lost lives.

“The plane had broken into two. I jumped out of the plane after it crashed. I saw two other people also coming out. There was tried-burst kind noise. I tried to get out from front, but I saw that there was a big fire. So I went back again and jumped out from there”, said by Abdullah, a survivor from plan in the hospital to TV9 news channel.

"The accident occurred after the aircraft landed at Mangalore airport and overshot the runway", said by Air India.
