Prominent Singaporean Businessman and CEO of the Ho Bee Media Group, Mr. Chua Pin Chong, has died suddenly while he was in Rome this Sunday. It was a shock to the whole corporate world in Singapore, as Mr. Chong was a famous personality and frequent face in country business sector. It was reported that he was on his way to board a plane in Rome, so he could fly back home after his 10 day holiday, but then he suddenly passed away.

Chua Pin Chong is the youngest brother to Mr Chua Thian Poh, the President of Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Associations, and the CEO of the Ho Bee media group. They are well known in Singapore and this has indeed shocked everyone who knows the family closely.

The spokesperson of the Ho Media, stated, that after the family got the news of Mr. Chong’s death, they were in a state of shock as all of them were quite close to each other and used to have regular family gatherings. The spokesperson also added by saying that, Mr Chong had no ailments, nor was he suffering from any health problems, his death is really bad news to the family.

It was a tragedy in Penang, Malaysia, when fire broke out in double storey shophouse at Jalan Perak, which has resulted to the death of four members of a particular family. The fire originated at 02.50 am, and it was quite early for anyone to react soon, plus the owner of the of the house is said to have escaped from the inferno but the rest of his family members died on the spot.

The names of the victims who have died in the blaze are as follows, Geoh Siew Keow, 56, and their two children, Neoh Li Hong, 18, and Neoh Soo Ail, 16. Lim Chye Hwa, 73, who was an elderly lady in the house is said to have died while she was on the way to the hospital.

The fire fighters reached the scene and reported saying, the fire spread around the house quickly because there were many inflammable items inside, but they were successful in dousing out the inferno within 15 minutes.

A strong earthquake near Japan has stuck with a magnitude of 7.4 in the Pacific off southern Japan.

This strong earthquake triggers Tsunami warning in and around Japan. Japan's Meteorological Agency has announced a tsunami warning.

The earthquake was occurred about 80.6 miles off the Chichi Island in the Pacific Ocean. This offshore quake happened in the early morning hours at a depth of 6.2 miles.

So far authorities not found any damages or ill affects due to the earthquake though it was of huge magnitude. Mild tsunami warning alerts has been issued by the authorities.

The exact time of the earthquake was Tuesday, December 21st, 2010 at 17:19:40 UTC. This was at epicenter as Wednesday, December 22nd, 2010 at 03:19:40AM.

The location of the earthquake is 26.893° N, 143.726° E. The region is Bonn Islands at a depth of 14Kms.

The recent bus accident which took place in the Cameron Region of Malaysia, had killed several tourists, now the all tourists are being brought to Thailand in two Thai C-130J Air Force Aircraft’s. It was really a sad news to hear that the tourists were a part of the horrific bus accident that took place on Monday in Ipoh, Malaysia.

The Thai embassy has made a strong statement saying that all those who have died or were injured in this ghastly mishap, they will be sent back home on Thursday by the assistance of the Air Force. The two air crafts are scheduled to leave Malaysia at 08.00 am on Thursday, and will be landing at the Thailand Air Force base.

The officials have said that they will be bringing back all the people who have been involved in this accident and they are scheduled to reach the country at around 12.26pm. It was a moment of shock when Thailand got the news that its country’s tourists have been killed in a road mishap in Malaysia and most of them were dead in the incident.
