In addition to this, his resignation has come during the time when North Korea and South Korea are having military tensions at a very high level. Mr Hwang is not the first person to resign from a prominent post in the country, previously the South Korea’s Defence minister had resigned from his post as he was facing a stream of criticisms. General Hwang had a very strong post in the country and also was playing an important role after North Korea attacked South Korea. For the moment the country is left without a military general which is termed to be very dangerous if border disputes worsen. The General’s name has arisen in the massive property investment scam in the country, and this quite shameful for a person like him in Korea. General Hwang states that he has no idea of the allegations against him, and also that he is unaware of the charges that have been place on him. |
