Hotel Fire In Philippines, Death Toll Touches 16

A massive hotel fire that broke out in northern Philippines has made the death toll in the building touch 16. The hotel is said to be a budget hotel and is located in Tuguegarao City north Philippines. The last person who died was a nursing graduate who passed away in the hospital due to deep burns.

Six people who have died in the blaze are the owners of the hotel, who also own a motorcycle spare parts shop in the same building, now the fire officials feel that the shop could be cause of the inferno. Nineteen guests who were inside the building have been safely rescued and are being provided with medical treatment.

It is something that has attracted attention of a number of people in the region, as a blaze of such a large scale has not taken place in the city before. Justice and Ministry investigators will be personally looking in the matter and determine who is duly responsible. The Fire Chief says that the inferno may have originated from motorcycle parts storeroom, where there could be some inflammable materials.

Bus Crash In Malaysia Kills 15 Tourists

In a very sad road accident that has taken place on the Cameron Highlands of Malaysia, it is reported that 15 tourists have been killed in a bus crash. The police who had reached that spot said, that the bus turned turtle when it met with an accident, killing the tourists in this ghastly mishap. Reports state that the tourists in the bus were of Thai origin.

The police official posted on the spot stated “It appears that more than 15 people have been killed in the bus accident but we won’t know the exact figure until the search and rescue operations are over” . The police, as mentioned, have not reached to a perfect death count, which further raises the fear of more casualties.

The police have added that they are not quite sure about the fact that all the dead tourists are Thai or not. Along with the 15 fatalities, an additional 10 are reported to be injured and have been taken to the hospital for further treatment.

The hot Kingfisher Calendar 2011 was released by Salman Khan, Sidhartha Mallya son of Vijay Mallya who was present during the launch said that the winner Angela Johnson radiates all the quality that Kingfisher stands for.

After launching the calendar Salman Khan said “I have launched the Kingfisher calendar for the second time and I like Vijay Mallya . I think he is a great guy and whenever he will call me for anything, I’ll surely be present,”

“Well, it is superb. I mean it was very overwhelming to be surrounded by so many beautiful women. And each one of them had an outstanding quality in their own way. But unfortunately one could win and Angela was a very worthy winner. She is a stunningly good-looking girl. She is a very sweet person and she radiates all that Kingfisher stands for,” said Sidhartha Mallya.
