January 11th, 2011, Australia, It has been another worse day for the flood-stricken Queensland in Australia and some parts of Brisbane.

Yesterday once again flash flood attacked a valley nearby and crashed through the city of Toowoomba. The sudden flash floods resulted into 18 deaths.

There are many people reported to be missing in the flash floods though rescue measures are effective and alive from the authorities.

Rescue teams already evacuated thousands of people from their homes and businesses. It is also reported that few residents sheltered over their roof tops too.

Brisbane City Mayor Campbell Newman said "Today is very significant, tomorrow is bad and Thursday is going to be devastating for the residents and businesses affected".

In the past twenty four hours there was around 150 millimeters of rain have been dumped. The heavy rains impacted badly over NSW communities.

For the third consecutive year, a student from the CHIJ St Nicholas Girls' School has topped the O-level examination. Chia Pei Yun an SNGS student, with a score of 10 A1s has managed to top in the whole country.

In the last years, Lai Kai Rou in the year 2010 and Haw Sue Hern in 2009 also scored a 10 A1s from the same school. The results of the O-level examinations were released on Monday.

Last year out of 37,655 students who had appeared for the examination, some 99.8 percent scored at least o-level pass. The St Nicholas school has been known since years for its excellence in academics as well as sports.

The foreign affairs minister George Yeo, on Monday, has warned the officials of the country to be careful while discussing with US diplomats. The minister said with reference to the documents released by Wikileaks.

The minister said that such leaks can be disastrous for the American diplomacy. “We have to be more guarded in our communications with U.S. diplomats. If it happened once, it can happen again, so we’ve got to be more careful,” Yeo said.

The minister said in parliament that the Singapore officials will be cautious while negotiating with the American diplomats, due to the risk of their conversations being made public. The warning came after Wikileaks, showed a document last month in which Singapore spokesman Lee Kuan Yew called the Myanmar's junta leaders and North Korea leaders 'stupid' and 'psychopathic types' respectively.

However the leaks of the documents on Wikileaks, have left the officials in Washington angry and embarrassed due to the disclosure on the website.
